Alchemist's Shop, Riverton. Home of the master alchemist Sara Mousahdeen. Well stocked with a wide array of alchemy and magical supplies. Also a primal source of Qi, emitting a massive aura of energy and magical matter in a vortex soaring skyward above the shop.
Anguish Mountains. Northernmost low ridge of the Mystical Mountains, known locally as the Anguish Mountains due to their desolate, lonely peaks.
Realm of Annwn. Ruled by Niri’s father Gwydion.
Arawyn Castle. Niri’s birthplace and home to King Gwydion. Fell during the Siege of Arawyn Castle and subsequently plundered into ruin. Site of the follow-up battle known as the Second Siege that resulted in the rise of the Mistress Witch and the fall of the Clan of Annwn.
Beneath Stone Keep. An extensive system of magnificent caverns that exist deep beneath the Stone Keep of Castleton. Said to be a world unto itself, the caverns have become known as a mecca of sorts for mages and crafters of all kinds. Headquarters to many of the largest Guilds, including those of the Sorcerers, Alchemists, and Thief's Guilds, among others.
Black Forest of Cammachmore. Home to a race of wood sprites. The place where Niri was raised after her parents were killed.
Castleton. A small stony outpost tucked into a high mountain valley surrounded on three sides by jagged, snow-capped peaks. Made up of a few dozen small, stone buildings clustered together at the foot of the twin towers of the Stone Keep of Castleton. Residents guard the mountain pass and also serve the Greenwood family who live in the Keep.
Chancellery of Glahdring. One of only a handful of buildings in the whole of the Lycanthropes realm made mostly of stone. Constructed in three round sections similar to a cloverleaf, centered by an oval, glass-sided tower. Many things are said to exist in the halls beneath the chancellery, some living, others not.
Darkwood Caill. A mountainous realm home to a race of wood sprites.
Drymen Inn & Alehouse of Clachan. Pub and Inn located in the town of Clachan in the Spirit World. Torben, brother of Arthur, is the proprietor.
The Five Mountains. A range of mountains at the northern-most boundary of Niri's realm as it existed around the time of the Spirit Quest, between the years 482 and 483 of the Third Age. Featuring the primary peaks of Crieff, Scoury, Morar, Kallithea and Arrochar, with the last two of these, Kallithea and Arrochar, being the largest.
Gamelyonshire. Spirit realm of a race of half lion, half dragons known as the Gamelyon.
Gate of Moorslede. Entrance to the Old Forest and to Log Hollow. Part of a vast wall system that once protected the Old Forest. Long ago, the Gate marked the boundary of the Forest and the edge of the known world.
Glédegesa – Spirit realm of dragons. Ruled by Dragule. The name Glédegesa is from the Old English of the Second Age, meaning “Fiery Terror.”
Glahdring. Main community and gathering place for the Lycanthropes. There you will find the Chancellery, where many fine and mysterious things are kept in an extensive complex of underground caverns. Many of the residents of Glahdring live in magnificent treehouses that fill the woods thereabouts.
Grimfeld. Suspected redoubt of the Mistress Witch.
The Halls of Chalandrian. Located in the very depths of Mount Halandri. Said to be one of the most beautiful sights in all the five major Kingdoms.
The Hidden Realm. A secret redoubt of the Mistress Witch occupied by a race of men who long ago fell under her sway.
Howle Pass. The quickest route north from the Stone Keep at Castleton and through the steep mountains beyond. The Pass is subject to very strong winds and bitter cold, with frequent snowstorms gusting down the mountains.
Ironwood. Distant forests, adjoining the Old Forest to the south. Takes its name from the trees there, for the trees are made of wood as hard as iron.
Kamatero. Home to a race of master Woodsmiths known for being expert in the making of enchanted cloaks from the thin, almost translucent bark of the Coldfir sapling.
Llanfor. Treetop village of Sylphs. In the northern regions. Unique in that the entire village lives in houses perched high amongst the treetops.
Lemoroidea. An ocean realm in the spirit world. Home to a race of shape-shifting, underwater creatures known as the Sirrhinni.
The Lost Forest. A vast and unspoiled wilderness rich with the bounty of nature. Considered one of the last, best refuges of the wild in all the Nine Realms. Home to a race of elemental faeries known for devising some of the most powerful spells.
The Lost Castle. Secret underground castle of the wood sprites of Darkwood Caill.
Mystical Mountains. Home to the Tuath Dé and Tuath Dé rebel tribe.
Mountain Realm of Lycanthropes. Home to Eli, Luna and Loic.
Nefyn Castle. Mountain stronghold of a northern faction of Dark Riders known as the Merthyrs. The Riders are a vile race of horsemen with a reputation as robbers and killers of the worst kind. Extremely violent and merciless. Known to torture their victims. Avoid at all costs.
Noblin's Bog. A dark and dreary swamp in the lowlands of northern Rancour inhabited by goblins renowned for making steel weapons and armour. And for being as nasty a bunch of goblins as you are ever likely to come across on the northern side of the Five Mountains.
Oakenshire. A forest inhabited by wood sprites. The forest is alive. The oak trees move at will, each one inhabited by a female tree nymph.
The Old Forest. Location of Niri's home, known in the Old English as Tréow Holh. Hidden beyond the ancient Gate of Moorslede.
Ravensong. Western border town in the foothills of the Red Mountains.
Red Mountains. A range of mountains far to the west of the Old Forest.
Riverton. Known for a near legendary brand of Green Ale made by local inhabitants. Also known for its skilled carvers and banker masons and their exceptional skill with Igeous stone. Contains a small brewery and many pubs. Long-time home of the master alchemist Sara Mousahdeen.
The Space in Between. A dark, devilish place hidden in the unknown corners of the universe between the living and spirit worlds. To be avoided at all costs.
The Spirit World. The place beyond the living realm. A multi-layered realm where exist all those who no longer walk among the living. The Spirit World encompasses all realms of the dead, including the demon realm. Only a few special beings can exist in both the living and spirit worlds, the Emerald Spirit Mireil among them.
Standing Stone Caves. Secret caverns containing an enchanted, prescient poo at their centre. Former home of a demon, long ago defeated by Niri.
The Stone Keep of Castleton. Ancestral home of Jack and John Greenwood. Its two enormous towers - the gatehouse and the castle keep - dominate the surrounding village outpost. An extensive system of caverns exists deep below the castle undercroft.
Stony Farm. Location of the Battle of Stony Farm.
Thaumaturge. Shop and home of the alchemist Roger North. Located in the caverns beneath Stone Keep.
Tréow Holh. Translated from the Old English, meaning “Log Hollow”, Niri’s long-standing home in the Old Forest.
